What is changing on Mustaqillik Shoh Street?

Comprehensive renovation works on road pavement, lighting, drainage system, and bus stop infrastructure are ongoing on Mustaqillik Shoh Street in Mirzo Ulugbek District.

Currently, the main works within the first stage are nearing completion. Asphalt works have been completed on one section of the street, and this section is being prepared to open for traffic in the near future.

Within the first stage:

Road pavement — 23,039 m² of old asphalt pavement was milled; — 23,039 m² of coarse-grained asphalt-concrete was laid; — 28,984 m² of basalt geogrid was installed; — 23,039 m² of PShMA-20 pavement is being laid.

PShMA-20 stands out for its high resistance to transport loads, deformation and rutting in hot weather, and long service life.

🌧 Drainage system and road elements

— 1,143 meters of drainage trays were renewed; — 111 meters of metal pipes were replaced; — 1,300 meters of new curbs were installed; — 1,143 meters of curbs along the road edge were renewed; — 566 meters of old curbs in the dividing strip were dismantled.

These works will prevent water accumulation on the road surface during precipitation, extend the service life of the asphalt pavement, and improve traffic safety.

💡Lighting system

— 34 old lighting poles are being dismantled; — 67 new lighting poles are being installed.

🚌 Bus stop infrastructure

— 3 new bus platforms are being organized; — 3 modern bus stop pavilions are being installed; — Waiting areas for passengers are being expanded; — Tactile guiding tiles are being laid.

This will ensure free approach of buses to stops, safe boarding and alighting of passengers, and comfortable waiting conditions.

👷 More than 30 units of special equipment, as well as over 250 workers and qualified specialists, have been involved in the works.

All processes are carried out in accordance with established technological requirements and engineering solutions.
