The Issue of Ensuring Pedestrian Safety in Yakkasaray District Raised Through a Deputy Inquiry
🏛 Deputy of the Tashkent City Council of People’s Deputies Vasila Alimova sent a deputy inquiry to M. Adilov, Head of the Road Safety Department of the Tashkent City Main Department of Internal Affairs.
📝 This deputy inquiry was prepared based on appeals from residents of “Muqimiy” mahalla in Yakkasaray district. In their appeals, citizens emphasized the need to ensure public safety, particularly creating convenient and safe conditions for pedestrians.
📍 During the study, it was noted that there is high pedestrian traffic near the Jome Mosque on Saddi Sirojiddinova Street, as well as at the intersection of Saddi Sirojiddinova and Komil Yashin Streets, and there is a risk of road traffic accidents in these areas.
🔎 In this regard, the deputy inquiry requests to study the issue of creating a safe environment for the population by applying road markings 1.14.1 and 1.14.2 designating pedestrian crossings, as well as installing road signs 5.16.1 and 5.16.2 indicating crossing points.
🗣 The relevant organization has been instructed to conduct a study on the issues raised in the deputy inquiry and provide substantiated information on the planned works and their results within 10 days. These issues have been taken under control by the deputy.
